New Moon in Scorpio
The New Moon is when the moon is not visible in the sky. It’s when our luminous celestial torch disappears and when we embed ourselves in darkness. When there is a New Moon in Scorpio the darkness is more profound because Scorpio is the sign of the shadows and the unseen - it’s the sign of the Underworld.
New Moon in Scorpio is when we burrow into the hidden parts of ourselves and we discover things about ourselves that may make us uncomfortable but if we don’t see these hidden parts of ourselves - if we ignore them - we cannot change or heal them. It’s in the depths of darkness that the stars of hope shine brightest.
On Monday 13th Nov 2023 we have a New Moon in Scorpio at 09:27am (gmt). This New Moon is intense and destabilising as it’s conjunct Mars (the planet of drive and ambition and the traditional ruler of Scorpio) and it opposes Uranus the planet of revolution and surprises in the sign of Taurus. Mercury is in Sagittarius, the sign of blunt and uncompromising truth.
On a global scale, the word that comes to me from the guides is insurgence. A bold and surprising uprising that comes from a consciousness of the shadows. It comes from the inside.
On an individual level, this New Moon may surprise us with a revelation about ourselves that we don’t particularly like but this revelation give us the impetus for evolution.
This is the first New Moon after the powerful Lunar Eclipse in the sign of Taurus. Taurus concerns the visceral tangible realm and the eclipse opposed the Sun in Scorpio. It was bone-shaking life-altering stuff. A New Moon is always an opportunity for a cosmic reset - A spiritual ctrl+alt+delete. If you effed up amend. If someone else effed up forgive them. It might sound reductive but its the only way to end the cycle of pain and this New Moon is about recognising where the pain is in order to heal it.
