Full Moon in Gemini

The final Full Moon of the year is always an important one because it’s your opportunity to purge. Lately in my yoga classes I’ve working with shaking the body as a physical vehicle to activating the kind of energetic release we want to experience towards the end of the year. You can try this at home, lying on your mat or the floor, lift your arms and legs up to the sky - shake your arms and legs vigorously. Anything that doesn’t serve you, anything that has run its course, anything that you don’t want to take into 2025…shake…shake…shake it off.

Perhaps the best way to shake off 2024 is out on the dance floor because the cosmic energy is ripe for the boogie.

This Full Moon is a big boi because it’s making a conjunction to Jupiter the planet of luck and expansion. Jupiter expands everything it touches and it’s touching the moon which represents our emotional life. Expect BIG FEELS but in the best kind of way because Jupiter rules Gemini’s opposing sign Sagittarius which is where the Sun is currently residing and so this moon is flavoured by optimistic, adventurous Jupiterian themes. Sag and Gemini are the party animals of the zodiac and this party season they are inviting you to go big, or go home. Although a lil warning is that the Sun and Moon are both squaring Neptune in Pisces the planet of imagination (and intoxication) so know your limits. Office party hook ups abound this year but the morning after could be awks.

On the day of the Full Moon, Mercury finally stations direct in the sign of sag… can I get a hallelujah! It’s making a sweet trine to Mars retrograde in Leo. What this means is that we still might not be moving forwards until mid Feb but we have new information that will help us to implement cherished plans when the time is right. What has been stalled since Nov 25th? This is where we may be bestowed with new info that will help us to progress.

Pluto the planet of transformation is opposing Mars Retrograde creating exquisite tension between our need to transform and our will to do it. Notice where you are stuck. This Full Moon gives us intel on how to break out of a rut. Again, this may not happen until Mars stations direct in late Feb but the more conscious we are of where we need to transform the more ready we will be when the time comes.

In terms of a ritual we want to do all of that good Full Moon letting go stuff. Writing down everything you don’t want to take into 2025 and then safely burning that paper or, if you don’t like fire, tear it up and flush it. Though seriously, this moon is bringing the party so the best way to really release this Full Moon is to dance it off.

I asked my guides to show me a card from a specific deck that embodies this Full Moon and they are showing me the the Eight of Bows (eight of wands) from the Wild Wood Tarot.

Dance around the fire. Celebrate. Call in your crew. Let go of the old to make space for the new.
